I have an agreement in place with Portfolio Recovery Associates ( PRA ) to payoff my - credit card with monthly electronic fund transfers from my personal checking account. I 've covered all monthly payments, as agreed, starting -/-/-. In -/-/-, notice the latency, I received a letter from PRA to " collect a debt '' and discuss payment options that I ignored because we already have an agreement in place with - covered payments. PRA disclosed the debt to credit bureaus, according to PRA, to " report payments ''. Due this action, my credit score took a dive of - points. PRA is unethical because they disclosed false information to the credit bureaus and tried to brainwash me explaining this was actually " helping me ''. PRA, explain to me why after - payments, with no missing payments, you report the debt to the credit bureaus? After 3 years? How lame.
