Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Pennsylvania

I am a co-signer for my son, - -. He attends - University in -, PAOn entry to school in - 2011, he took out a - - loan, I co-signed. I was working a very good job at the time and we opted to pay the interest on this first loan right away. I was laid off from that good job a month after school started. All subsequent loans for school, taken every semester since his entry in - 2011 until current, have been deferred payment loans - payments deferred until after he graduates. All loans were taken out on --At some point a few years ago, - - informed me that they merged with a company called Navient. At that time, I started getting - different bills for - different loans. I had no idea why as we never took out a loan without opting for the deferred student loan payment. I called - - and they told me they have now " unmerged '' - never notifying me. They left - of our loans with Navient - without my consent. And in calling Navient, they state that they do not OFFER and DEFERRED PAYMENT student loan and thats why we are getting billed for all these loans. On top of this, I have been paying approx $250.00 per month to Navient and they admitted to me on the phone that they " MISAPPLIED MY PAYMENTS '' causing me to " LOOK DELINQUENT '' and they reported such to the credit agencies, dropping my credit score and my sons credit score by - points!!!! They said it will take days to fix and file a retraction with the credit agencies. No one was very nice or helpful at Navient. - - just blew me off - not their problem - they gave the loans away to someone else. Can you help me??
