Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer trouble with how payments are handled
Navient Student loan department,
Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled District of Columbia
Hello - I have - private student loans through Navient, which were originally - - loans. I have had these loans prior to -/-/--/-/-. -/-/- through -/-/- I was enrolled more than half time in a law school program and from -/-/--/-/- I was enrolled in an LLM program more than half time which I am still enrolled in to this day. I received a bill from Navient last month stating that my in school deferment had ended on my loan, as the in school deferment option had ended on my loan and that the loan documents stated that there was only a 2 year period of in school deferment. This is odd, because I obviously have exceeded the 2 year in school deferment from -/-/--/-/-. When I called to discuss this option I was informed of this and was treated rudely, even when I asked why this provision was being enforced now? I asked to see my loan documents to see if this provision was included in the loan documents and was told that this provision existed and that my loans were audited and that it was revealed that my two year period had expired.
