Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled New Jersey
I have - separate outstanding - student loans that I had taken out with - - between - and -. Since -, these loans have been transferred to - sister company, " Navient ''. - of these - loans are considered private loans at 7.0 % APR, and the - is a federal loan at 3.75 % APR. I 've called Navient because the arrangement for minimum payment distribution considerably favors the 3.75 % loan which is clearly not the most favorable when it comes to paying these loans off with minimal interest paid. They have told me they ca n't do anything about. Here 's an example : my current minmum payment due is $180.00 ( average : $62.00 ) between the - loans @ 7 %, and $100.00 for the - [email protected] %. These loans were taken out in - - ( [email protected] % ), - -, - -, and - - ( - [email protected] % ) for - toward a - at - in -, NJ.
