Synchrony Bank Credit Card Complaint

Credit line increase/decrease

Synchrony Bank Credit card department,

Credit line increase/decrease Minnesota

I have had stellar payment history with my Wal-Mart credit card. I was granted a $5000.00 credit limit on my Wal-Mart credit card. I even received a very recent increase in the amount of cash I could take out in addition to my purchase - -it went from $80.00 to $200.00. On - -, 2015, I made a purchase and took out cash. I have attached the documentation showing the purchase and cash advance. Within one to three days, I noticed that my $5000.00 credit limit decreased to $330.00, which is nearly identical to the purchase I made on - -, 2015. This left me with an available credit of $5.00, which is highly suspicious that the issuer of the credit - Synchrony Bank - slashed my credit to nearly exactly what I owed for the purchase I made. I called to Synchrony Bank, the issuer of the Wal-Mart card, and was told the adverse credit line decrease was because I was - and " some of it had to do with your credit. '' Not only was my race and ethnicity as a - used to discriminate against me and take adverse action against my credit line, which dropped over $4000.00, but I was told that there was no internal procedure to file a complaint. I demanded to speak to a supervisor to file a Fair Banking Practices and Equal Credit Opportunity Act claim against the bank ; however, the supervisor I spoke with did not care and stated she was not familiar with any of those laws. So Synchrony Bank is out of compliance in many, many ways, but more importantly, my entire $5000.00 credit line was slashed for the stated reason that I am - and " some of it had to do with my credit history. '' As you will note on the attached adverse action letter, they are using a credit score pulled in - 2015, which is nearly three months old and outdated.
