Credit monitoring or identity protection problem with fraud alerts
Equifax Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Problem with fraud alerts Minnesota
I recently received notice from - of my creditors that their systems had been breached and my information may have been compromised. I attempted to utilize Equifax 's website to put a 90 day fraud alert on my credit file. I was easily able to do this - without any issues. Equifax is demanding that I send them - and all sorts of documentation of identity. This does n't make any sense. Why would they make it more challenging for me to protect myself from fraud? I just closed on a house a few weeks ago. I have none of the documents they want. I insist that they put a 90 day fraud alert on my credit report at once so that I can protect myself from identity theft.
