When my son entered college it was necessary to have a co-signer. The application indicated I would be the co-owner, which I had a problem with. The loan officer said I would not be responsible for the loan " that is just the way the form is created ''. I asked her if I could notate that on the Promissory Note with her name and she said yes. I wrote down everything she said and sign under the notation, not " on the doted line ''. -/-/- my son stop paying his loans on a regular basis, then not at all. - -Navient called my phone everyday, so many times that I stopped answering it. In the beginning I would request a copy of the Promissory Note with my signature so that I could explain why I did n't feel responsible. Each time I received a copy with a computer generated signature.

I received another computer generated document and contacted Customer Services who inform me that sometimes these documents are lost. I learn last week that it is a Federal Law that the signature page must be provided upon request. I will probably need legal assistance because I kept my word and have paid on this loan for almost a year but I have never received the document I need. I am turning the responsibility back over to my son and hopefully, though doubtful, he will pay this loan. I still need the document to prove my claim but have been unsuccessful. Please help me obtain this document that I believe we help me clear my name. Thank you.
