I was trying to make a purchase with my JC Penney master card and was declined. I called the number on the back of my card and the teller told me that the card I had was cancelled and that a new card was sent out in - 2015. I said I never received it or activated a card and she said after a couple of weeks of me not activating a card the company automatically activates it and I need to report it lost or stolen what??? this is putting my identity in jeopardy and I am furious that they would do this, meanwhile I am trying to make a purchase for a car part and I can not I will have to wait 7 days to receive a new card and to get my vehicle fixed. They should be held accountable for any inconvenience this has cause me and if my identity is stolen they should be held responsible for that as well. When you work hard to establish your credit and someone else takes 5 seconds to put it in jeopardy. I had to use $300.00 dollars of liquid cash that I really should n't had to use if my credit card worked and was not cancelled and then activated by this company and not me.
