I paid off a - - Bank credit card -/-/-. There was several late payments, but the card was paid in full. I have Bank Statements showing this. -/-/-, Portfolio Recovery Associates filed a lawsuit stating I owed them money. We went to court, but before we went in, I showed them the paperwork and they asked the case be dismissed. Now, they have filed suit against me for the same amount. While going through their paperwork, I realized they do n't even own my account. We are going to Trial this next Thursday and I have asked for a Court Reporter to be present so I can have documentation of what they say during the trial. I have now missed multiple days of work, I 've had to pay for official bank records, and I 'm very stressed about something I should not have to be going through. It must be illegal for them to do this, especially when they already have all the documentation that this debt is paid.
