A default judgment for - was entered against me because, the company ( portfolio recovery services ) asked the court to assume the debt was valid if I did n't respond within 30 days. I did n't, because I figured I 'd lose anyway. The amount I was sued for was a lot more than was spent on the card, & I had made payments before it defaulted. I have asked the attorney for billing statements to see the amount on it, but all I can get is the amount portfolio recovery services sent them that they said I owed. I would like to settle this for less than -, but it 's been over 30 days since the judgement, is there anything I can do now?
