Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting my free annual report Iowa

I tried to obtain FREE credit report via 'www.annualcreditreport.com '. I elected to get my current report from TRANSUNION. However, when I submitted my personal information I was directed to a screen on my computer that would not let me proceed until I signed up for their 'credit score ' ( for $1.00 ) and a membership for credit monitoring in which they would bill me monthly for this service. There was no way around this, so I was forced to request my FREE annual credit report from - of the other - companies. TRANSUNION is pulling a scam. Why is n't something being done about this??
