TransUnion Credit reporting department,

Incorrect information on credit report Reinserted previously deleted info Pennsylvania

To whom it may concern : This is to let you know that TransUnion has re-inserted a previously DELETED record into my credit report. I have a daily credit monitoring service and I discovered this illegal re-insertion in -/-/-. The record is by - '' - a debt collection company trying to illegally collect on a $6400.00 debt ( that is beyond the statute of limitations in - ). I have never acknowledged this debt. The original creditor is - -. The first date of delinquency on the - account is - to -. The - -. account appeared on my credit report for 7+ years after the date of first delinquency and was deleted as mandated by FCRA regulations on all my credit reports ( TransUnion , - & - ). However, - - - - - acquired this debt and has posted it on my credit report with an open date ( status date ) of -/-/-. They are attempting to re-age the debt, and such make a case to have it in my credit report. This is ILLEGAL. TransUnion should IMMEDIATELY delete this item as it violates Fair Credit Reporting act. Furthermore, TransUnion is required to notify me within FIVE days when a previously deleted record is reinserted in my credit report. TransUnion has failed to do so. TransUnion has also failed to validate or verify this record ( and associated - -. record ). As a result, TransUnion should immediately delete this record. I have notified the State Attorney General of Pennsylvania, and if this is not handled immediately, I will initiate a lawsuit against TransUnion for FCRA violation and character defamation ( all of which have materially damaged my life including increased insurance charges and inability to secure a job ). I have attached a document that includes commentary directly from - - - - - confirming that they have misrepresented the first date of delinquency.
