Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting report or credit score California

I attempted to purchase a phone from - and they told me that my credit was badd and I had to put down a huge deposit. This sparked my curiosity about my credit because I am - and never put anything in my name. So I went to credit karma to try and get my credit score and it kept saying my personal information I provided did not match the records. Then I went to Transunion to request a free report and it told me that my personal information was also incorrect. My name, birthday and social I entered I know is 100 % mine and correct.
