Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft Michigan
I was a victim of Identity theft - years ago. I resolved the issue obtaining a police report and submitting it to the company and credit bureau and it was removed from my credit reports. Three years ago I discovered the debt was sold to a third party creditor who in turn confiscated my tax return. I was on - at the time and did n't have the means to dispute with a lawyer ( I did try to fight it previously, but the judge told me to get a lawyer ). When the judgement expired, that Midland Credit Management had obtained - years earlier, they purposefully sent the paperwork for a new judgement to the wrong address so that I could not show up for court, and was able to renewed the judgement. Keep in mind none of this has been on my credit report and I have never been notified!
