I had a past due bill in collection to -. I called - directly to arrange to pay off old debt that they claimed I owed them as on my credit report it stated I was in collections with a company called Pinnacle Credit Services for a past due debt I had with -. My credit report shows that I opened an account as of -/-/-. I have verifiable proof that I was not with - - nor did I open any type of account with Pinnacle Credit Services. I cancelled my service with - - in -/-/-. - then transferred me to a company called - to settle or pay off said debt, which are not the people that were listed on my credit report. I needed this off my report as I am trying to buy a house and this is knocking my credit down quite a bit for being in current collections. I was very weary speaking to - because they were not on my report but Pinnancle was on there. After speaking with - for some time to verify this company is in fact who I should pay I decided to put - on speaker and


representative from Pinnacle had absolutely no information to provide to me. Once transferred over to - ( who once again is not on my credit report ) I proceeded to advise the representative at Pinnacle that I had - on speaker so that we could all hear the same situation. The representative from - had me ask the representative how much I owed - - I had the original - bill in front of me, as well as a bill from -, and my credit report all in hand ) as well as what the account number this was in reference. The representative gave a number that was actually less than my original - - bill as well as having a completely different account number. I then proceeded to put them - on speaker and told them I was calling - - directly to find out who actually owned my past due money to -. - - once again tried to pass me off to a representative from - and I stopped them and asked which company had my - collection. She then stated - is who was to collect not Pinnacle Credit Services and certainly not - -. That was literally the only information I could get from - at all. They would not speak to me otherwise and I had to practically beg to get - - to tell me that. I proceeded to make the payment, begrudgingly, to - to clear this up, however I am still dealing with Pinnacle Credit Services stating I owe them money with an account number I have never had and them stating I opened an account in - which I never did. Pinnacle is refusing to talk to me and transferred me over to another company called - - and they are trying to collect on a debt they do not own either nor do I owe and never had. I was not sure where I could go to make this company stop whatever activity they are doing. I do not feel that I could possibly be the only person this could be happening to and it needs to stop. I have since reported this activity to Consumer Affairs but will still have to wait for - working days for it to be resolved/removed from all - Credit Bureaus so that will inhibit my ability to buy a house at a credit rating that I deserve. The phone number to Pinnacle Credit Services is -. - - is - and - is -. I am not sure if all - collections companies should be reported along with - - for refusing to give me any real information or if it should simply be Pinnacle Credit. I am in great hopes for any help
