Unable to get credit report/credit score problem getting report or credit score
TransUnion Credit reporting department,
Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting report or credit score California
There is an extended fraud alert on my account ; I am entitled to - free credit reports. Transunion 's online site shows that my fraud alert is active through 2022. The link to request a free fraud alert credit report takes me to a page that calculates the price as $8.00. This report should be free. There appears to be no way to order the free fraud alert credit report online, or through the interactive voice response system. With considerable difficulty, I was able to reach a human being and order the report after waiting on hold for a large fraction of an hour. I would like Transunion to fix this defect on their site. The desired outcome is for fraud alert credit reports to be provided free of charge, through a link that is readily discoverable from the Transunion home page. I am attaching a PDF showing the fraud alert screen and the non-free order page. It appears that logic intended to discount purchased credit reports in California is taking precedence over logic that provides free fraud alert credit reports.
