Discover card interest rates. I recently was laid off from my job of the last 7 years. The issue is with the fact that I contacted them and told them my situation. They were okay at - but now they are demanding access to my checking account to make automatic withdrawals. I told them repeatedly that my income is only $ -/week. They want all of it. I refused. After this, I took a look at the last 2.5 years of statements and saw that had only - late charge ( -/-/2014 ), they never lowered my rate under 19.99 %. In -/-/2014 my rate was jacked up to the default of - and never lowered. I also inquired about getting a refund on interest charges and they also refused.
