I have a 30 year fixed mortgage with TCF bank. My monthly payment is - due on the -. I paid it on the - and they only applied - to my principal. the rest went to interest. They distribute my payment unevenly every month. I have never been late. I think the distribution is grossly unfair. I have written to the bank president who said that when the payment is not paid on the -, more goes to interest. I understand that, but $1000.00 to interest and - to principal? Can you help please.
