Army and Air Force Exchange Service Credit card closing/cancelling account November 27, 2015 - I recently received a military star card about a month ago and began using it almost immediately. I called to extend my credit limit and begin making payments in a timely manner days later. I logged in one day to check my account and saw my retail limit was increased as requested for $500.00. My retail credit limit started at $600.00 total, then was increased to $1000.00. After that I tried to make a purchase days later and it showed as declined.
