Army and Air Force Exchange Service Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account Washington
I recently received a military star card about a month ago and began using it almost immediately. I called to extend my credit limit and begin making payments in a timely manner days later. I logged in one day to check my account and saw my retail limit was increased as requested for $500.00. My retail credit limit started at $600.00 total, then was increased to $1000.00. After that I tried to make a purchase days later and it showed as declined. I checked my balance again online and my credit limit was suddenly in the negative $75.00 in spite of no new purchases being made. A day or so later my credit limit was increased by about $50.00 which I very quickly spent on dog food before it disappeared! I called today to make a complaint about it and they told me I was n't eligible as of 10 days ago. I received a bill but NO notice and the customer service worker & supervisor I spoke with were absolutely deplorable refusing to say anything other than I 'm no longer eligible for an account. Although my account is not shown as closed online. My first bill is n't even due yet for almost a month! And the payment is only $19.00.
