Oportun Financial Corporation Consumer loan shopping for a loan or lease November 6, 2015 - Received a Letter from OPORTUN ( - - ), PRE-QUALIFIED LETTER, WITH RESERVATION NO. INFORMED ME I QUALIFY FOR A STARTING $1600.00 LOAN! HOWEVER, WHEN I WENT TO THE COMPANY FOR A LOAN, THE TOLD ME THE LETTER WAS JUST FOR ADVERIZEMENT PURPOSE AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO ANSWER QUESTONS TO PRE-QUALIFY, ONCE YOU PRE-QUALIFY ON SITE, THEN YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR A LOAN! THERE LETTER SENT IS MIS-GIVING AND MIS-LEADING! THEY TOLD ME I WAS APPROVED AND THAT I WOULD GET A CALL AND I WOULD PICK UP THE FUNDS! HOWEVER, WHEN THEY CALLED, THEY ASKED FOR A CO-SIGNER!
