I chose anything in the drop down menu in hopes it would stop asking me the reason for checking score. after I chose auto refinance which was picking anything it asked me a series of questions. I answered them. It did NOT STATE IT WAS SUBMITTING AN APLLICATION TO LENDERS FOR ME! I t did not even ask me if I work or what my income is. Consumer loan shopping for a loan or lease October 2, 2015 - I received a letter dated -/-/- from First Investors Financial Services , Inc. stating that my request for an Auto Loan Refinance was denied due to information obtained from -, a consumer reporting agency. I did not, nor have I ever, requested an auto loan refinance with this company or any company. I purchased a new vehicle in -/-/- and it is financed through - and I have no intention of refinancing.
