I was working for - on Tropical Storm -. I received a bill from Capio Partners collections agency -/-/-. I did not remember the emergency room visit at the - - and did not pay it. When I checked with my insurance company they verified it and I finally remembered it. I paid the bill although I am not sure it is legitimate because the Hospital never billed me directly. First, I do not have any knowledge of receiving notification of these debts and who are asking for payment. I called to try and obtain more information as I have not had any communication from - - - and was unaware of any balance owed. She immediately asked how I would like to arrange payment or they will report my debt to the credit bureau. Instead of updating the Credit Burearu with the new information on the same account, they created a new account number with the same debt. I was n't even aware the account had been sold until I contacted the original debt holder, and they told me. When asked about, a representative informed me that no communication letter was sent out. I had no idea this was on my credit report.
