Highland Capital Debt collection taking/threatening an illegal action threatened to sue on too old debt May 21, 2015 - I was contacted by this company who is threatening to sue me. So i entered into an agreement to repay the debt. I was sent an email of a letter after i asked that a physical copy be mailed to me. i then noticed small typos and no street address only a po box . However i was unsure of the laws, and felt a little uneasy so I checked my credit report and I did not see the debt they are attempting to collect so I assumed it had been charged off or was too old to be collected. Highland Capital Debt collection taking/threatening an illegal action threatened arrest/jail if do not pay May 8, 2015 - North Wind Associates keeps calling my cell, my work etc with threats to come to my work or home and arrest me or serve me with legal papers if I do not pay, I am on probation and can not go to jail! These people have mislead me into making a payment with these kinds of threats because I do not want them to come to my work, they have even said they would follow me. - thing is to take me to court to get payments etc thats fine, but threats to arrest me or take property away from me is illegal.
