We began to repair our home during the spring and summer out-of-pocket before we got our insurance settlement in order to expedite our return home. In total, our repair costs were approximately $40000.00 This loss was ultimately covered, in significant part, by my insurance settlement. Weichert Financial Services Mortgage loan servicing, payments, escrow account August 21, 2015 - When I bought my house, I was persuaded by the low monthly payment - $1600.00 per month -. I had a 30-yr fixed mortgage at ~3 %. In less than one year, that increased to more than $2300.00 per month. I was told that the ( escrow? ) costs were underestimated and because the seller had made major improvements before I bought it, the taxes were increased. The realtor - Weichert in New Jersey - had not mentioned this to me at all prior to my purchase, even though I 'm a single woman supporting a family by myself. Weichert Financial Services Mortgage loan modification,collection,foreclosure June 16, 2015 - I started a loan modification process in -/-/- with Weichert Financial Services. I never received any phone calls explaining the process or the steps. We completed the application and sat and waited. We received a trial modification payment document in - -. We made the payment within the month and multiple trial payments thereafter. Over the next five months, we never heard a word from loss mitigation, only the collection department with the lender.
