In - 2016 I started to receive a service fee of $7.00 for a Quicken ( software ) service that I do not use on my BBT Personal Checking Account. I have used - on my computer for about - yrs and have never been charged a fee from any bank. I email BB & T and told them I do not use and do not want this service and to cancel it and credit my account. At that time they did give me a credit. This continued to go on throughout the year. Towards the end of the year, - did n't even connect anymore to BB & T and I had to Manually download transactions and yet I still was getting charged a $7.00 which I had to ask for a credit. I emailed and called many times about this issue and repeatedly expressed that I do NOT want this service and if it continued I would close my account and take my business elsewhere. Well it did not stop I changed banks and was waiting for one check to clear to bring the account to a $0.00 balance. On the day the check cleared, another charge for


back or receive the credit and that SHE could n't give me the credit. I told her I wanted the account closed but now it had a negative balance. I called back a week later to follow up since I had n't heard anything or seen the credit on my account - this person again told me they would open a ticket and she was at least able to refund the $36.00 NSF charge - she also told me she sees the account as closed. I also called a local branch near my job to see if they could help close this account and he told me that the account was showing as closed and the only he could do was make sure no more debits came through the account ( which did n't happen ) as I now started to get charged a monthly maintenance fee of $12.00 and another $36.00 NSF fee - who keeps charging a " closed '' account??? I call again ( about 10 times ) and The bank then proceeds to tell me since I 've already received a credit within 24 months they ca n't credit me. And some of the reps were not very nice or helpful, in fact they were downright rude and one even hung up on me! Who does that to a customer?? Now we 're getting letters that it 's going to a collection agency. This is absolutely absurd. NO ONE AT THIS BANK would assist to credit my account the money that I should never have been charged in the first place. Please HELP. BB & T needs to credit my checking account $67.00 for their own fees that they charged on my account including service fees for a service I NEVER USED.
