I signed up for an - store card for my - payments and they automatically signed me up for their Card Security Program which provides coverage in the event of death, - etc. I did not give my consent ( or was not aware of giving my consent ) when I signed up for the card. I received a non-descript notification in the mail alerting me of this and have cancelled my participation by phone. Apparently they have a checkbox in the card application process. I do not remember checking that box ( and never would have ), so I can only assume that the box was checked automatically and it was an opt out.
