I purchased a car out of state ( - ) and financed the purchase through US Bank in -/-/-. I went to the - DMV to switch from the temporary tag to my permanent tag and I could n't do it without the title. The - DMV contacted US Bank to get a copy of the title, they in turn contacted - to get a " paper '' title. - is an electronic title state and does not issue " paper '' titles. US Bank claims that they can not ask for an electronic title and they keep asking - for a " paper '' title. It has been 5 1/2 months since I purchased the car and I STILL do not have the title! I 'm on the last temporary tag, the - DMV said they will not issue anymore temporary tags once this one expires in 30 days. US Bank has messed this up and their customer service department has told me a different excuse every time I call in. They requested a " paper '' title on -/-/- and was told from - they needed to request an e-title. After several contacts from both me and the - DMV, US Bank asked - for a " paper '' title AGAIN on -/-/-. - said this bank has messed this up in the past for other customers, and in the past the bank used a third party to get the e-title and transfer it into a " paper '' title so they could process it. They should do that in this situation too. It 's unbelievable that they are preventing me from legally driving the car I purchased because they do n't want to process an e-title. I pay my loan on time every month, they need to FI- THIS.
