M&T Bank Corporation Bank account or service department,

(CD) Certificate of deposit Account opening, closing, or management Connecticut

I had opened a CD - account with - bank here in - ct, They have recently been taken over by M & T bank. I transferred my matured CD to another bank and was charged $75.00 by M & T for the transfer. That was not in my agreement with the original bank -. What gives them the right to charge me a fee that I did not agree to? Also what control did I have if they decided to charge me $500.00
