Upon reviewing my Equifax credit report ( - ), I discovered an obsolete account ( creditor name, - -, account number - ). Please delete this account immediately as it is too old to be in my credit file. If for some reason the account is verified, please send me the name of the person who provided the information and the method in which it was investigated. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 605 [ 15 U.S.C. 1681c ] " Running of Reporting Period '', as of -/-/1997, reporting periods only run 7 or 10 years depending on the type of information. In my case, the information in question expired.
