I called my credit card company to request a letter confirming a transaction ( $6500.00 on -/-/2015 ). I needed this because of a dispute with - regarding a hospital bill I had paid. The representative seemed very confused by my simple request but eventually said that he would " submit a ticket ' for the request. When I had not received anything after 2 weeks, I called once again and asked to speak to a manager. I explained again what I needed and the importance of getting my request completed in a timely manner and was told that the ticket had been sent to the wrong department and that a letter had been sent to me to say that I would have to pay $5.00 for the research and that the research could n't begin until I had received the letter and called them to confirm that I would pay for the research. I never did receive this letter ( or any other communication regarding my request from them ). It has been over a month and they are unable or unwilling to help me with this request. In addition, they were dishonest in informing me that they had sent a letter to me. I am now in a situation where despite providing my credit card statement and a hospital statement showing that I made the payment I can not get this resolved until I receive the transaction verification from my credit card company.
