PNC Bank N.A. Credit Card Complaint

Payoff process

PNC Bank N.A. Credit card department,

Payoff process Illinois

PNC Bank, in my opinion, has failed to provide an adequate method of setting up automatic bill payment for its credit cards. At this time, you can not set-up auto bill pay through online avenues, and must mail in a form to apply for automatic bill payment. Further, enrollees are not informed whether they are signed up or not by PNC. An application I filed -3 years ago appears to have been approved recently, which I only learned about because they double-paid my last statement balance, - of which I had to conduct manually. After contacting a representative of PNC, I was told the only way to modify my existing auto-payment regime is to call a representative directly. Again, I have no present way of individually understanding what the auto-bill pay policy is for my account. The result of - of the above policies is that customers are materially more likely to carry balances between statements, accruing high rates of interest on larger balances than they would otherwise. Without a feedback mechanism in place, customers are also unable to determine whether automatic payment has been set up until a billing date passes, at which point a customer may already receive a black mark on their credit report, imparting unfair economic consequences on people trying to improve their financial wellness.
