Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Consumer Loan Complaint

Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Consumer Loan department,

Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease California

I have an auto loan with Mercedes Benz Financial Services ( MBFS ). We overpay a little every month, and for a year and a half the overpayment has been applied to the principal. Starting in -/-/-, none of our payments has been applied to either the principal or the interest. Instead it has been put into an overpayment account without notifying us ( because of overpayment next payment is not due until -/-/- ). When I called them they told me that was their policy but could not answer why they changed it without notifying us. They could also not explain why I would be sending the payment if not to apply it to the principal and interest. They told us we would have to add a note to every payment telling them to apply it to the principal.
