Citibank Credit card department,
Credit determination New Hampshire
In early -, -, I attempted to upgrade my Citi Rewards Card to - which offered a better reward. I have had my current CitiCard for twelve ( 12 ) years and have always paid it in full and on time. My credit limit was raised in - - I thought I was considered a good customer. To my surprise my application was rejected. I called CitiCard and ask why I was rejected. I was told the reason was that - ( Credit Reporting ) was reporting that I had no credit or credit score. This, of course, is obviously incorrect since I have been a CitiCard holder since -. - does not show my CitiCard on my Credit Report. There is an obvious breakdown in communication between CitiCards and -. I think it is also absurd for CitiCards to report to - credit history of one of their ( CitiCards ) customers, then ask - to provide the same information back to them ( CitiCards ) before they will issue a credit card. CitiCards should already have the necessary information on a current customer of theirs. Attempting to contact - and speak to a live person who is willing to help correct inaccuracies is very, very difficult - in my case, impossible. I have filed a separate complaint against them. As for CitiCards, I have made numerous calls and spoken to numerous representatives. None of them to date have corrected this problem. This is more than an irritation. This affects what I pay for home, auto, etc., insurance. In my case I can show financial damages.
