My sister passed away in - 2015 and I have been attempting to resolve closing her bank accounts with Bank of America since -/-/- without resolution. The bank is requesting an Affidavit of small claims which apparently comes in a multitude of forms, all of which have not been acceptable to BOA and I continue to receive letters stating I have notarized the wrong form, having missing information etc. I think the BOA should declare on the Estate Unit site that it is unlikely the customer will be able to close accounts of their loved ones secondary to the complexity of the form or the inability to file the appropriate affidavit to receive the funds from the accounts without the assistance of an attorney. I will be obtaining the services of an attorney at this point in time to close my sister 's accounts.
