Cashing a check without an account Account opening, closing, or management Illinois

I cashed a check from a settlement at Regions Bank - -.Two days after i cashed the check.The placed my account on hold because of -. I didnt open up a regular bank account with them because of my past situation with - - i was still trying to clear up.I deposited my money onto a NOW debit card suggested by employee because of the amount.The check was for $ -.I had made a lot of payments and withdrawals with in two days and this was my plan once i cashed my check.Just after the two days, they said the check needed to be fully cleared and the charges need to post but still closed my account with the debit card and told me i had to wait 10 businesss days.The reason i 'm filing this complaint is because that hold for 10 days has caused a major setback in my finance and i had to reborrow most of the money i paid to people in those two days i owed and stashed away for reserve.I spoke with regions and filed a complaint and they returned with no solution to solve this. I was only requesting my check cashing fees for $180.00 using their bank to cash my check when after the 10 days was up, ive spent over $100.00 in fees to re deposit the money onto other cards.It caused over $600.00 to maintain living and expenses while waiting for the hold to be released.This was a major inconvience and a setback for them to do this when all i had to do is confirm any charges. I showed up in person 3 times to get funds back.
