I bought a new computer and left for - shortly after. While in -, I tried to go online and pay my LL Bean Visa bill and, because it was a new computer, I had to enter a lot of information - which the system told me was wrong and I had to call Security. I did not have my card with me and could n't provide all of the information request. I had to wait until I got home. I called Barclay Card and after - attempts and speaking with - different people I asked where they got their information ( former addresses, formerly owned vehicles etc. ) and I was told that they outsource to a vendor to produce information drawn from my social security number and public records. I told them their records are wrong and demanded to know the name of the vendor. They refused to give me that information. There is information out there linking my social security number to someone else and this company refuses to even give me the name of the company they paid for this ( bogus ) information??? This is unacceptable. I need to get to the source of this misinformation.
