I received an offer to open an credit card with USBank, which they did not honor. The offer stated that if I spend $1000.00 within - months, I 'll receive a $200.00 statement credit. I received $100.00 after spending $500.00, but did not receive the full $200.00 after spending $1000.00 within - months, which is sooner than the offer required. I called them and was eventually told I needed to fax the original offer letter to them to prove that I was supposed to get $200.00 after spending $1000.00. After faxing it, they still refused to give me the remaining $100.00. They stated that they placed me in a separate promotional offer with a lower APR, which offered only $100.00 after spending $500.00. USBank said I would need to reapply for the credit card in order to get the offer I originally applied for. I can not do that due to the negative affect it may have on my credit score. Plus, I do not know if I 'll be placed in the same program again. I am looking to purchase my first home within the next year, and I do not want the additional credit request to negatively affect


I was not awarded the $200.00. I was then given something cheaper and of lesser quality. The application for this credit card negatively affected my credit score, which I thought would be fine due to the additional $200.00 that I should have received, but instead I only received $100.00. I used the promotional code that was on the original offer letter when applying for the card online and was approved ; I spend the required $1000.00 within the first - months of opening the credit card ; and I faxed the offer letter to USBank to show what they had originally offered me. Yet they refuse to fix this problem for me. I have the offer letter and all bank statements showing I spent $1000.00.
