TD Bank Credit card department,
I had a due date of -/-/-, min payment -. I set up weekly payments of -, which were applied -/-/- -/-/-/-/- -/-/-, and -/-/-. Since the -/-/- payment was received & posted after the due date, i believe it should be applied to the -/-/- payment. It was NOT. They said because it was after the due date but before the statement closing date, it could not go towards the following months minimum. the next due date was -/-/-. Payments were applied -/-/-, -/-/-, -, & -/-/-. I was accessed a late fee because they say only - payments were received before the due date...even though they had - payments before the statement closing date. If it cannot be applied because of statement closing date then due date & clising date need to be the same.
