Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Colorado

Chase Auto Finance- In - 2011 we purchased a vehicle and were offered an outrageous rate. We were desperate at the time and excepted. We recently got behind on payments do to a job lay off. I had been in contact with the bank and made a payment - -. They asked me my plan for getting caught up and I let them know I would making over he min payment until it 's caught up. It was - payments behind. They were fine with that and we moved on. This past Sat I came home to it being repoed. I jumped on the phone asking what was going on and they said that they have n't been able to get ahold of us and that they have been calling and sending letters for - months. I tried to make the entire past due payment and they refused it. I updated my address and phone back in - when this all began. They claim to have been calling me for - months .... I spoke to a rep on - - that processed my payment for me. They claim to have sent letters but to an old address and that they did n't have the new one yet the driver was at my house. I also have to verify my address every time I call in and for them to process my credit card payment. The loan was originally for $ -k and change. My last payment paid off the principal balance plus some. Coincidence? I still owe over $ -k. This loan was never meant to be paid off and they knew that. It would be impossible. On Monday I went to log into my online account and they had already deleted it from the system. Please let me know if there is anything we can do. Thank you!
