Medical Disclosure verification of debt Right to dispute notice not received Illinois

I have a medical bill that I am paying for a my sons -. ( I was n't aware of the bill until after I found out, from my own investigation that I even had a bill in collection ). I have requested - via letter from the agency, Preferred -, to please send me a bill, invoice, or something reflecting what amounts I currently owe. ( I have been paying every month $50.00 to a company without any notice of a bill besides my voided checks as the only way to show proof of payments ). I finally received a call from a - - who was condescending and rude. He informed me that because I live in - and no longer in -, I will not be receiving a bill from Preferred -, because they are not licensed in this state. All I want is SOMETHING, reflecting that I am making continuous good-faith '' payments to an establishment. Is there legal recourse for me???
