I arrived to this country on -/-/-/-/- and - is trying to bill me a debt dated on -/-/-/-/- owed by a person named like me but not in my address. The difference is in the apartment number. - already opened a collection using - collection company that I solved last -, -/-/- when I contacted - and sent to them all my information. It is supposed to be solved when - - sent back the wrong information to -. Now, collection appeared again in my credit report but now - issued to Convergent Outsourcing. I sent my personal information to - and I told them about their mistake but they sent to me a form of Identity theft and they asked me to send them back a police record report, as if someone had used my information, but this is not the case. They do not take on their mistake. At the end, I did n't accept that. Why do I need to spend my time and my money getting that documents when they made the mistake. I do n't know how or why this debt was linked to me, and how - got my personal information because I never have had an open account with them. They did a bad job and now I have a collection in my credit report that have been affecting my credit score almost 2 years. I wanted to sue - but it is a hard process. The error is so simple and solution is so simple too, that 's why I do n't understand why - ca n't fix it. Please if you know how to solve this problem, I would like to know. Best regards
