I am seeking assistance regarding short sale file with Provident funding. We submitted the original request - and are still waiting for a decision. An initial response came back - from Provident seeking an additional $40000.00 for the contract price. I initiated a dispute that time and on - I was told by Provident that Freddie Mac agreed to the original terms and pricing.I have been waiting since then for a short sale approval. Repeatedly I have been told that the file has been escalated, that Freddie Mac is reviewing for the last time, etc, etc with no results. The last straw came today - the buyer is prepared to cancel the contract as of today as it appears that we will never receive an approval letter. I was told that I would absolutely receive a response today. The response I received was call back on Monday ''. The net proceeds from the sale are approximately 90 % of the remaining principal of the loan. This is a solid offer. After - days it seems very reasonable that I receive a response to this offer. My seller is in the middle of a divorce and needs this sale to be completed to complete that process. The buyers have been waiting patiently for 138 days to see if they get to move into this house or if they need to start shopping again. Please help us move this short sale process forward. Your assistance is most appreciated.
