Wells Fargo Credit card credit determination November 11, 2015 - In trying to negotiate a payment plan on debt on a Wells Fargo credit card- and though I 'm still willing to pay the full amount of the debt, the representative consistently said that they could not advise how this would affect my credit. I insisted on knowing how a payment agreement would affect my credit prior to making a decision on whether to accept the terms, but they could not say how it would be reported. I filled out an online application, just to see, got the interest rate information, and decided NOT to apply. I believe I did cancel the application, but the card came in the mail anyway.
