We had a savings account that we deposited our monthly accruals into because it paid a higher interest rate. After - died I took a certified copy of his death certificate and the account was promptly put in my name since I was his POD. On - -, 2015 I successfully transferred $50000.00 into my checking account to pay for his funeral expenses and - quarterly taxes.
