While talking to - - she had stated that - would settle for $29000.00 and then the next day I was sent an email saying that - would settle for $43000.00. I feel that this company is not a reputable company if not a scam. I have recently sent them a letter requesting them to send proof that these loans are valid since -/-/- we filed bankruptcy on these loans and feel that they have been satisfied then. ... |
AES/PHEAA Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt was discharged in bankruptcy October 3, 2015 - My original debt was included in my 2010 bankruptcy and National Collegiate Trust purchased it anyway. They continued to try and collect despite being notified on multiple occasions that the debt was no longer valid. I wrote letters to - different addresses and included my bankruptcy paperwork. I also told multiple collection agents about the bankruptcy. They recently filed a lawsuit against me trying to collect the discharged amount plus the interest they tact on.
