My mother consigned one of the loans and almost 3 years ago I had called the bank to ask how to remove her as my cosigner so to ease my overall student debt through consolidation. The representative told me that I would need to make three years of $650.00 monthly payments to have my mother removed as my cosigner. I continued making payment for 12 more months before I fell into strapped financial times, so I called the bank and recieved permission for a two month forbearance from the bank. They also defaulted - of my - private loans I had with them despite me making partial payments. On a separate occasion I received email notification that someone tried logging in to my account and that my account had been locked. I was forced to call them to re-open it and when I told them about someone other than me trying to access my account they ignored me.
