- NJ - - Corporate Office : To whom it may concern, Grievance : Home depot customer service representatives failed to provide information for the hardship program when I was unable to make payments. I was unemployment, divorced and subsequently developed a -. During this time I responded to several phone calls from customer service representatives when payments were late or no payment was able to be made. I provided the representative with the reason for the inability to may monthly payments. No discussion other than when can you make a payment was the prevailing factor and concern. No incite or offer to apply for hardship was suggested, As a result my account accrued have many late charges and an extreme increase in interest rates, subsequently the balance is still close to the starting amount of $7000.00 from this cards inception.

When I asked to speak with a manager who could assist me I was transferred to representative - who rebuttable and told me that he would transfer me to counseling and he abruptly hung up on. I called back again and got corporate on the phone and was finally provided with an address to submit this grievance. As I queried for resolution of this problem, I was transferred to the associate - who told me that high balance is interest charges stemming from unpaid Timely promotional balances. In addition Home Depot has increased monthly payments roughly to about $420.00 a month this payment is only applied to these interest charges. Interest is roughly about $ - monthly with an interest rate increased to over 25 %. The interest rate is not on my statement I had to ask what the interest rate has increased to. This card has been frequently accruing late charges because of remaining inability to pay the high payment. I am requesting that Home Depot apply all interest payments made on this account to the principal amount left on the Credit card. Then return the interest rate to the original rate in addition, I am request that all the late charges be returned and applied to the principal balance amount. Sincerely - Account # -
