Credit reporting company's investigation investigation took too long

TransUnion Intermediate Holdings, Inc. Credit reporting department,

Credit reporting company's investigation Investigation took too long California

TransUnion has been negligent by willfully violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by not conducting the re-investigation of my disputed information before the end of the 30-day period from the date they received my dispute on -/-/2016 and failed to properly verify the disputed information with the - Recorder of Deeds. Please note that under the FCRA secti- -. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ] ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) TransUnion had a 30-day period from the date they received my dispute to verify and properly re-investigate the disputed information in question. This dispute pertains to my letter dated -/-/2016 in which I requested TransUnion to validate the state tax lien in the amount of $2500.00 being reported on my credit report. TransUnion received my letter via certified mail on -/-/2016 and failed to respond to my request. I submitted a second

my dispute. Not only did they violate the federal law under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, but also failed to respond to my dispute or provide me with any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. This letter was received on their end on -/-/2016. On -/-/2016 I contacted the - Recorded of Deeds office at the phone number listed on my TransUnion credit report to validate the information myself. Not only did they inform me that I do not have a state tax lien, but also that the - County Recorder of Deeds does not report liens to the credit bureaus nor verify the information reported is accurate. Once again, I wrote to TransUnion via certified mail on -/-/2016 making them aware of the information the - Recorder of Deeds had provided me with. I requested that they remove such entry from my credit file as it was being reported in error on their end and they were in violation of the FCRA, as they have not responded to my dispute as required within the 30-day period of receipt of my original dispute. On -/-/2016, I received a letter from TransUnion stating they had verified the information I was disputing since the beginning of -/-/2016. They did not provide any information regarding how, when, where, or with whom they had validated the disputed information which had been requested from them on multiple occasions. You will be able to verify with the attached documentation that TransUnion has not only willfully violated the FCRA but has been negligent in validating the disputed information.
