I applied for citibank card in conjunction with - - promotion, promising - bonus miles so long as I spent $3000.00 in the first 3 months. I received the card and spent over $3000.00 in the first 3 months but saw no such bonus miles. I called Citibank today and spoke with a representative, who indicated they would not be honoring the promotion because of activity with other credit card accounts. Their promotion did not convey any such restrictions / limitations in a manner that I understood, and so I believe their advertising was unfair and deceptive, specifically in such a way to induce me to apply and utilize their credit card product where I would not otherwise have done so. When I discussed this with the representative they refused to honor the original promotion. I requested that they put a note on the account letting them know that I would be contacting the CFPB.
